A 4.5% honey oat lager, cold conditioned in second use Widow Jane whiskey barrels. This lager started with a grain bill of @weyermann_specialty_malts Bohemian Pilsner malt, toasted golden oats, honey malt, and carafoam. We then hopped it in the boil and whirlpool with a French grown varietal known as Barbe Rouge, which gives off familiar aromatics you’d find in German hops but with a little bright strawberry accent floating around. After a short primary fermentation in stainless, we racked part of the batch into barrels to lager for 8 weeks. A really nice complex low abv beer, with the oak component balancing nicely with the toasted oats and honey malt built into the grain bill

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a light gold with a touch of copper and a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has earthy grain and honey with a bit of whiskey and straw backing. Flavor has earthy grains and honey with a growing whiskey note.
