Fishermen enjoy a beverage while casting away. Whether fishing or imbibing, there are limits, whether it be a 5 leader or 5 liters. Saisons were brewed back in the day for farm workers with a 5 liter daily limit, a satiating standard that would allow for ample thirst quenching in any condition while still being able to complete the task at hand, both then and now. Our session-style Szechuan Brett was designed to do just that. Whether farming or fishing, a little lighter beer extends the limit, a little pepper spice provides a little more character without over doing. What ever you limit is, enjoy our Szech ’n Brett, have a good catch, we do!

9th July 2016: on-tap in the NaparBCN Brewpub with the RBESG guys. This beer was a long way from home, somehow found it’s way to Barcelona. Hazy golden orange pour, small white head on top. Grassy farmyard with trampled citrus fruits in the nose, the taste similar but with an added spice/herbal touch, vinous notes also. Different and interesting.

Tap during RBESG16. Slight hazy golden with huge fluffy white head. Very funky, grean leaves, horse poop, cloves and szechuan pepper corns, dough. Medium bitter and under medium sour. Medium bodied. I usually like funky saisons but this was somehow really not really my thing.

Bottle @ Beerbecue at joes, small sample. Hazy golden color, medium frothy head. Aroma of bit bretty bubblegum, spices, bit flowery. Bit grainy in taste, some flowery bitterness, bit funky, dry, and quite some spices, bit peppery. Enjoyed this one.
