Poured into a mug, the appearance was a fairly dark brown almost black color with a finger’s worth of white to off white foamy head that dissipated at a decent pace. Lace tries to stick but slides for the most part.
The aroma had a nice blend of sweet milk and dark chocolate malts, straight up front with a nice creamy sort of lactose thing going on. Hints of maltballs in the background.
The flavor is totally straight up pure sweet taking the milk chocolate to the dark chocolate and really letting the lactose continue on in it’s sweetness. Super sweet chocolate aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sipping quality about it due to the sweetness of this beer. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt good as the brewer projected.
Overall, sweet stout, damn right it is and I might as well take an insulin shot after drinking this. And I thought Southern Tier’s mocha stout was excessively sweet, wouldn’t mind a taste test between that and this if I ever tried this one again.

On tap at Cork ’n’ Keg, Raymond, NH in tulip glass. Aroma is strong malt and chocolate with roastiness and hint of coffee. Appearance is dark black/opaque with gorgeous light brown finger-width head (courtesy of nitro) and nice soapy lacing. Taste is more dark chocolate than milk, which is the dominant flavor, but there is good coffee bitterness in there as well. Palate is medium bodied with average texture and soft carbonation--smooth. Overall, this is really good with bold flavors but not cloyingly sweet and smooth palate highlights this.

650 ml bottle purchased at Cigarette City. Black in color very thin head. Aroma shows milk chocolate, old coffee grounds, mild roasted barley.
The very best thing about this stout is the full body with a velvet like texture. The flavor is just as the aroma was implying; milk chocolate, coffee with creamer and the slightest hint of roast. Pretty nice stout.

Bottle from Candia Road. Pours a solid black with a smallish bubbly tan head that requires a vigorous pour to muster. Aromas of rich creamy chocolate and an earthy roast bite. Light bits of dark fruit and faint earthy hop round out the aroma. Sweet rich chocolate and roast with hints of vanilla fruit and earth. Lingering sweet chocolate a roasted grain bite long after each sip has passed. Medium body with a light to moderate level of carbonation and a creamy silky smooth mouthfeel. Wow that is a really good milk stout! Rich sweet roasty creamy I might have to throw that one into the rotation.
