Inspired by the English IPAs of the 1970s, this Basque-style version showcases the complexity of the malts with biscuit notes, while the resinous and herbal bitterness is revealed on the finish.
The story:
All the hops used in this recipe come from Nouvelle-Aquitaine. A true IPA from the southwest! A fitting tribute to Kintoa, the emblematic pork of the Basque Country.

HOPS: MAGNUM, NUGGET, WILLAMETTE, CASCADE
YEAST: US-05

440ml can opened at our eco cabin in Sorges, Dordogne. Pours a hazed amber, large frothy off-white head. Earthy, biscuity malt, mild marmalade suggestions, some resin.. definitely reaches for an old-style malt-lead feel. Pretty decent.
