From the start, in a warm bottle, its mouth coating bitter nasty holopoloozah. Wew, nasty on style rude-ish, difficult to drink stuffah. Volatile high alky beer.

Crisp, slightly hazy golden coloured body with an orange glow and a touch of copper with a nice, two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of super pungent hops, alcohol, grass, resin and yes, quite a bit of marijuana and herbal notes. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong distinct grassy and resinous flavour with a very syrupy and herbal taste right behind with little else, aside from a touch of malt. Aftertaste shows some light alcohol, grass, herbs and a little hops, but not too much. Overall, a beer more focused on the gimmick of hash and less on the complexity and depth of the beer with only some mild flavours coming through aside from the resin and grassiness. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Clarendon), Virginia on 24-January-2015 for US$2,49 sampled at home in Washington on 04-April-2015.

Bottle. Pours a cleanish slight gold with a thin head and aromas of lemon peel, grapefruit and light honey. Flavor is pretty solid with a nice mix of the above, but the mouthfeel is a bit weak and the alcohol is a bit heavy-handed. The beer seems to be over carbonated a bit or I just have a bottle that is really fizzy. It hits the palate and it all blows up into fizz. The ABV presence is obvious and not hidden well at all. Kind of a rough beer in those respects.

I guess I was hoping for me than this with all their hype of using the hop hash, like this would be one of the hoppiest beers ever. Well its a good IPA, plenty hoppy, but that’s basically all of it. Citrus, resin. Fairly balanced finish, definitely lingering bitterness. Good clean malt profile.

Hazy dark yellow pour with a tall, frothy, off-white head. Aroma has pine resin and a sweet supporting malt aroma that has notes of vanilla and bread dough. Firm smooth bitterness with good malt support. Medium bodied with a clean finish.

Draft at the Big Hunt. Clear golden color. Aroma of earthy, overripe summer fruit, which makes sense since it’s January. Taste is bitter hay and straw.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Bruisin' Ales, 1/3/15

Aroma: The nose is pretty resiny, pine, grass, and a bit of citrus come through as well
Appearance: It pours a hazy orange color with a thin white head and some drippy lace
Flavor: The flavor has some mild sweetness, but the resiny and grassy bitterness dominate
Palate: The body is medium, it has a mild stickiness, soft carbonation, and a long, dry finish
Overall Impression: This pretty much delivers what it says it will in the description. There's a big, dank hop bitterness. That's this beer in a nutshell. It's pretty nice, I mean what's not to like?

12 ounce bottle from Beer Run, opened 10/17/14. I’m hoping for a massive palate assault so hopefully it delivers. Pours a hazy orange with a thin off-white head. Poor head retention. Aroma of green, citrus, herbal, floral hops, pale malt. The taste is bitter resin, citrus, pine hops. Some spiciness follows. Candied citrus notes and pale malts as well. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness. Well, I still have taste buds but it’s pretty decent.
