I'm not sure if I'm early or late for this Christmas special, full of sweet mint that you get in an ice cream, in both aroma and taste? It's easy enough, perhaps not quite the depth you might expect from a winter seasonal, but rich enough. Happy Christmas then...

Cask at Pied Bull, Chester. Knew I’d drunk this before but didn’t realise I hadn’t rated it – until I check Brewver. Anyway, pours a very dark reddish-brown with a small foamy tan head and good lacing. The aroma has mint, sugar and chocolate malts. In the mouth it is quite sweet and somewhat smooth with a creamy texture. Mint is the first flavour to hit the taste buds – though in a limited way. Afterwards come stronger flavours of roast malts and milk chocolate. Sweetness lasts into the finish. This is decent – and quite unusual.

Cask at Pied Bull. Pours a near clear dark brown with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a bit of an Andes chocolate mint note with a hint of bread underlying. Flavor has bread and that Andes chocolate mint note.
