Listen, this English-Style Bitter is a simple, honest brew that speaks for itself - none of that fancy "hint of orange rind" nonsense. It's bready and full-bodied with balanced bitterness, the kind of pint you'd enjoy in a proper British pub.
In Loving Memory
In 1985, Kevin Keefe founded Granite Brewery, the first modern brewpub in eastern North America and Nova Scotia's first craft brewery. Kevin was a pioneer in craft beer. He personified what the craft beer industry is in its best form. With this collaboration beer from the craft brewers of Nova Scotia, we pay homage to the Keefe legacy without which we would not be here.
Thank you, Kevin.

Bright amber, not much head. Ok, it's an amber ale. It's clean, caramelly. I mean, I don't know. What's the point?

473mL can, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma has toasted caramel, bready malt, maybe some English yeast. Flavour has some bready malt, lots of dry caramel (wtf?), not much hops. How do you fuck up a bitter this much? Not remotely convincing.

Poured from 473mL can (pkg 2025 Mar 03; thanks Toni CaptainMurphy). Clear orangey gold with small white head. Caramel malt, clean, fine, but not really a bitter.

473mL can Pours clear gold with a small white head. The nose is a bit fucked, just weird yeast character. Flavour has stale malts and weak yeast. Not very good.
