Barrel Aged New Thing is a bourbon barrel aged dry hopped Sour Stout made with cherries. Aged in barrels for over two years, this beer is pitch black in color with a creamy mocha head. This beer has aromas of bourbon, chocolate, roast, dark cherry, and some slight alcohol. Full bodied and with a velvety mouthfeel, Barrel Aged New Thing leads with flavors of chocolate and roast, then rolls into slightly tart dark fruit, wood, and bourbon, and finishes smooth with a touch of citrus.

On tap at Hopcat A2. Pours black with a deep brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has swee dark grains, bourbon and some tart cherries supporting. Flavor has sour cherry throughout with earthy dark grains and oaky bourbon backing.
