Tap at l’Ermitage. Bit hazy dark red with small dark pink head. Strong red wine, red berries, light yoghurt, soft funk, sweet balsamico, light herbal. Medium sour, almost medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Very nice!

2017 Bottle. Hazy ruby color with pinkish head. Aroma is peppery red grapes, skins, leather and tobacco, very wine-like. Taste is red wine grapes, peppery funk, tannic, tobacco, leathery. Smells amazing, tastes a bit like medium (not too cheap though) wine, but it still kinda works. Silky mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Very good, but not top-notch.

Pours very dark pink to red, smell is intense, grapes, bit sweet, astrigent, hidden acidity. Taste is full, grapes, funk notes from the grapes. Bit dry. mild lambic character.

draft @ Vini, Birre, Ribelli 2017.

Thanks for sharing Kraddel. Sampled draft @ Vini, Birre, Ribelli 2017. Bright red, little head, this stuff even looks like wine. Nose is massive red wine profile mixed with huge yoghurt, stupidly wine-like. Taste is sweet red wine, huge yoghurt more in the back, red grape skins, both sides don’t entirely mix, body is all yoghurt & wine. Almost more wine than lambiek at this point, very nice & interesting but Cantillon red grape beers usually need more time for me to fully love them so that they can develop more lambiek qualities, this one didn’t even have lambiek funk.

25/XI/17 - sample @ Vini, Birre, Ribelli (Brussels) - BB: n/a (2017-1943) thanks to Kraddel, 77ships and other Antwerp and international tickers for sharing today's beers!
Clear deep ruby red beer, practically no head. Aroma: very buttery, lots of diacetyl, bit fruity, lots of yoghurt, sweet impression. MF: soft to no carbon, medium to light body. Taste: sweetish fruity start, lots of bitter grapefruit, bit buttery, bitter tannins, decent enough. Aftertaste: bit sourish, some alcohol, fruity, dry bitter touch, soft acidity, not a lot of brett to be found in the beer. Don't like the high diacetyl presence in the beer... I suppose it could face with age, brett eats everything. :p

8 4 8 4 16 Glass at Vini Biere Rebelli '17. Near clear red with a small pink head. Aroma is extremely vinous, tart red grapes, oak barrel and floral notes. Flavour is light moderate sweet and sour. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Really closer to wine than beer.
