We made our Teddy Bear Kisses Imperial Stout even more cuddly on the palate by aging it in 23 year-old Pappy Van Winkle Bourbon barrels, imparting hints of oak and bourbon. We added cherries to a few barrels to make things even more interesting. /

Sampled from the tap at the 2010 GTMW. Poured black with a grayish brown head that lasted throughout the beer. Aroma was full of dark grain and dark chocolate with underlying cherry and bourbon note. Flavor was sweet with tart cherries and a bit of bourbon coming out in the finish.
