On tap at Morningwood release. Pours a deep brown with little head and thin aromas that remind me of hop smell when I have a cold (muted), a litte dark malt (coffee) and just a hint of booze. Flavor is pretty thin, both on the malt and hops. It’s good, but the hops is more of just a bitter presence (I’m dying for a punch of centennial dry hops!)

On tap at the brewpub. Poured a clear dark brown with a brown head that lasted and laced. Aroma was sweet with grain, caramel, and just a hint of underlying molasses. Flavor was very malty with almost no hints of hops. The flavor was mainly caramel with some molasses and grain. Seemed much more like a brown ale the a black IPA.
