A blend of Banana Weisen Ale and American Cocoa Lager Just a Little Something to Help the Time Go By
A hybrid between a hefeweizen and a porter, just like a chocolate-covered banana added to your favorite wheat beer. Over 200 lbs. of fresh banana puree is fermented with hefeweizen yeast and blended with an American lager that is brewed with 100 lbs. of cocoa. The result is a rich and smooth creme ale.
Released in 2010 with a porter base different from the original 2008 release.

Had a glass from a growler thanks to Sean. Poured a light brown with a small grayish brown head. Aroma reminded me of smelling a darker banana bread. Flavor begins with a dark grain note but a really nice banana flavor grows and it balances perfectly with the grains.
