Barrel aged - Lou is an old favorite we've continually refined, pushing to achieve a delicate balance in what is naturally an unbalanced beer. Dripping with notes of molasses, burnt sugar, and dark chocolate swirled in cold brew coffee, Lou is a decadent beer perfectly suited for some lazy indulging under the hot sun, just like old Lou himself. Draught @ Gun Hill Publick House, Brooklyn (Jan 2025). Opaque dark brown with a small frothy tan head that quickly disappears leaving a ring, woodsy coffee-rum aroma, low carbonation, medium bitter woodsy dark chocolate-rum taste, alcohol undertones, thin smooth body, long woodsy finish. Nice flavors with molasses-alcohol aftertaste.
