We took three of our favourite New Zealand hops, Nectaron, Motueka and Nelson Sauvin, and dry hopped Steam Machine's usually draught-only Tank Pilsner.

Notes of white wine, stone fruit, citrus zest and a touch of fresh herbs are all to be expected on top of this three month lagered pilsner.

The brethren provideth. A hazy-opaque amber-gold. Thin foamy white head soon really thins on top. Aroma is earthy and woody. Herbs. Spice. Peripheral citrs snd vinous sourness. Bitter. Woody. A sour citrus and vinous edge, which also has a sweet juiciness in the mix. Underlying dry malts. Gradually the sourness becomes the primary facet. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-average carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent. A bitter Pilsner with a prickly tartness... refreshing but actually not overly exciting.
