We don’t like bitter people and it’s the same when it comes to our beer. This extra smooth Dark Lager may look like it has a bite, but its rich caramel taste is as soft-hearted as a good chocolate soufflé. We don’t know you or your friends but a few of these might be perfect for when you are out with them and feel like something a little tastier.

812. Pan Panonska Dark Lager - 4.8% Dark lager, jako pitko pivo, dobro balansirano izmedu gorcine i slatkoce. Vrlo dobro.

Bottle at Kezl. Almost pitch black body, tan small head, not very lasting. Sweetish aroma, pollen, caramel, raisin, light metal. Sweetish seeming taste, minty (?!), pollen, gummi bears, caramel, light honey. No bitterness, despite their lies on the label. Actually quite unique and a pretty good macro dark lager. This should be their regular dark, with the regular dark’s price, like this, it’s just a pathetic lie like the rest of their Panonska range. Meh. The best of the bunch, the least screwed up style wise.

Bottle, 0.33l. Black pour with one finger beige head. Good retention and lacing. Malts on the nose, caramel and roasted. Pleasant. Thin to medium body. Light texture, soft but not completely watery. Regular carbonation. Mildly bittersweet taste. Aroma of caramel, roasted malts. Earthy. Subtle cocoa and chocolate notes. A bit peppery. Slightly watery aroma overall. Regular finish, slightly bitter with some hops in the aftertaste. Overall, quite decent. A bit watery and lacking in body, but otherwise good dunkel.
