50cl bottle from Pivotéka U Modrého Lva, České Budějovice. Pours clear mahogany with a rather large, tanned head. Malty aroma with lots of caramel, some slightly wooden and herbal notes and hints of pine and citrus. Sweet and malty at first, then more hoppy flavours are coming too and it finishes fairly bitter. Not very balanced, but quite tasty and and rather drinkable. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Bizon on 06 Sep 2015 at 19:29 - Score: 6

Barwa brunatna, ciemno-miedziana. Piana przeciętnej trwałości i wielkości.

bottle, from a friend, diky Robine! Deep brown, almost black, with a mid-sized fluffy beige head. Aroma of roasetd malts and dark berries. Initially malty-sweet, but just for a short moment, then bitter, aromatic hops tune in and stay. Resiny and piney, slightly grassy with a shy fruity touch - delicious combination of dark malts with bitter hops - by far not as fruity as a Black IPA, but very, very good. Lingering and long-lasting delicious bitter hoppy finish.

0.5l bottle. A bit rubyish black body, beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, booze and it has a medicinal hint to it. Taste of chocolate, cream, dark sugar and cough medicine. It’s definitely not bad for me but a bit lacks the balance (bit too much of the medicinal character).
