Rich in the apples’ own natural sugars this Kingston Black displays all of the classic characteristics of this vintage fruit; red apple skins, subtle tannins complementing earthy notes with a bright tangy finish.

Kingston Black cider pairs well with a variety of foods. We particularly enjoy it with roasted pork or blue cheese. Chill before opening. Drink now or lay down for a few years. Live cider continues to evolve and develop with time.

This single variety Kingston Black is made from apples gathered by hand from the trees in two ninety year old neighbouring orchards in Herefordshire’s Golden Valley. Planted in 1934, these veteran trees produce yearly a small amount of fruit of the most exceptional quality. We’ve been working to restore each orchard since 2018 by pruning and replanting trees into the gaps that have inevitably appeared in the orchard’s long life. We hope that these new trees will come to be loved by the cider makers of the future as much as we love the ones that we’ve inherited.
