Big, bitter, with spicy rye, and a touch of malt sweetness. Bold hop flavours of pine, earthy spice, and a smattering of soft fruit and grapefruit citrus.
An old school IPA, atop beautiful bready layers of rye malt.

The brethren provideth. Hazy toffee brown. Lacks any serious attempt at a head. A few cell-esque floaters. Aroma is sweet and spicy. Floral. Peripheral resin. A lorra lorra rye. Bitter. The rye intertwines with resin so as well as the bitterness there is also sweetness and spice. Also has a big sour streak. Vinously so. Punchy. Thick and oily. Average carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. A sipper of a RIPA. Certainly big and bold as per the bottle.blurb. but possibly too OTT, hence the score.
