We brewed this special IPA to commemorate the establishment of the Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument. We incorporated Maine-grown barley and wheat, along with generous amounts of hops with flavors and aromas of pine and citrus, reminiscent of the outdoors. Cheers to Mother Nature and all she provides us!
Flavor Profile: Aromas of melon, pineapple, and pink grapefruit. underlying notes of onion and garlic with subtle pine and a faint malt grain sweetness

Bottle shared in MV - big thanks to Nelllzer. Pours clear gold with a lasting, frothy white head. Clean snout with modest piney hops, some tangerine, pithy graoefruit. Light sweet flavour with decent piney-grassy bitterness, lean dry pale malts, some peach, lemon rind. Medium bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Really clean and somewhat drying on the finish, with more dry pine, very light alcohol presence, some citrus peel. Quite lean and clean overall. Very drinkable.

From the source: pours slightly hazy yellow golden with a white head. Aroma is mellow citrus and herbal notes. Taste is herby but not in an annoying way. Light citrus. Very easy to drink with a subtle complexity.

50 cl bottle. Pours cloudy yellow, small white head. Aroma is crisp hoppy, slight grassy. Bitter, citrusy and slight grassy. Dry, bitter and crisp hoppy finish. Smooth fruity and lingering citrusy far finish.

Bottle: Poured a super pale yellow color ale with a large pure white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy hops notes with some light piney notes. Taste is a mix of hoppy citrusy notes with some light piney notes and floral undertones. Body is light with good carbonation. Delicate and flavorful with no bitterness easily identifiable.

12 oz. draft at The Ale House, Amesbury, MA. Pours a pale yellow with a lasting frothy head. Aroma of grapefruit, big floral hops, and light bready dough. Solid flavor. Lots of grapefruit, lemon hints, and lasting florals. Gosh Damn that is tasty. If I had more time I would have ordered another pint. I have nothing but love for this brew.

Minimally hazy, blonde-golden body is topped by a small but dense white head showing strong retention.
I get a ton of melon, pepper, spicy, leafy, dank greenery and bits and pieces of pine and lemon throughout. There’s some bright, lightly juicy pineapple and a good backing of rich, honey-like malts, but it’s quite full of pine and grapefruit, as well. House yeast character adds light bread/dough and mineral and it’s otherwise quite nice but for some resin and marshmallow turning to light alcohol as it warms and breathes.
In the mouth it begins with a malty yet well-attenuated texture with engaging carbonation and light honeyed malts. Tons of woody notes mix with white grapefruit and pine as well as softer marmalade and tangerine notes. All seems fine until it starts to warm and breath somewhat which exposes A LOT of hot booze and sharp resin on the finish. Wow, what a mess. It’s fine that they’ve made a traditional C-hop, bitter IPA, but they went far overboard on the boil time for the hops, it seems.
