$5 for the Howler at Liquor Shed.
A- it pours a clear brown with close to a 1 finger head of foam and has some nice lacing.
S- rich notes of roasted and dark chocolate malt in the nose. Nothing really on the bitter side; appropriate for the style.
T- chocolate and roasted malt on the front end with light caramel sweetness. It gets somewhat hoppy on the back end but not enough to put it on the American Brown Ale side of the style.
M- this has a GREAT mouthfeel. Medium bodied, same for carbonation. Maybe the best attribute of this Lander offering.
O- a pretty darned good English Style Brown Ale here. Thanks go out to Liquor Shed for the opportunity to try it!
