The reason we started the Continuance series was to give us the creative freedom to experiment with our malty barrel-aged inventory, just like we do in our Pulling Nails series. One drive of this series was to allow us the opportunity to start adjuncting our Barleywines, something that we hadn't done in the past, but was becoming an idea we just couldn't let go of. The caramel backbone of our Barleywines, instead of the chocolate backbone of our Stouts, was a whole new avenue for us.
This 7th blend of Continuance really dives into these ideas and we push this barrel-aged Barleywine blend with thoughtful amounts of Thai Banana Nibs, Maple Syrup and Cinnamon over our deep, rich, caramel backbone in the barrel-aged Barleywine - a new recipe in which we incorporated pecans into the mash tun. The pecans in the mash tun imparted only a tiny wisp of flavor, so do not expect much in that way, but because there are nuts in the beer, we needed to let you know. Instead of focusing on enhancing that ingredient, we instead focused on complimenting it with this fun, collaborative, integration just as we would with a Derivation.
We are excited to share this newest Continuance with you and something that is completely different than anything we have ever released! Thank you once again for all of your love and support of our tiny, niche brewery and especially our malty, barrel-aged beers!

Sweet, heavy and slightly roasty with some maple syrup, green banana, cocoa and chocolate sauce, hints of barrel, toffee, cinnamon and spices. Pastry barley wine? A bit unbalanced but gets better as it warms up

Pour at Snallygaster 2025. Poured a nearly pitch black color with a small tan head. Big, and slightly boozy. Smooth with a little bit of heat. Pretty tasty barleywine.
