A collaboration with my old mentor Taylor. We met many years ago when we both worked in Anchorage, AK. At the time I was a pretty dumb, inexperienced brewer. Spending time with Taylor (and Jen, and Alex and Vinny) gave me the aptitude I still have to this day.
Many years have passed since then. We've made new friends. We've ventured to new breweries. But most emotionally compelling are the friends that are no longer with us.
We brewed this to remember a friend by. She was a pretty epic friend. Naturally we gave it our all. Long mash rests, long boils, cinnamon, vanilla, and cacao. You deserve the best homie... so we made it for ya.

Sampled from the tap at brewpub. Pours a clear brown with an amber hue and a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has earthy dark grains with bread and a hint of sweetness coming through. Flavor dark grains and bread with growing sweetness and a hint of fruit underlying.
