Our Baltic Porter was built on a base of 2-row, Munich and Mild malts for a malt forward, rich flavor. It was made smooth through fermentation with lager yeast and extended cold fermentation. A portion of proceeds from this beer will be donated to the National Black Brewer’s Association.

Poured up on tap at Tipsy Cactus where it exhibits a clear mahogany brown colored body that supports a nice dark tan head of foam. The aroma offers up chocolate, a bit of dark roasted malt with molasses going on in the background. The taste a pleasing blend of dark roasted malts, chocolate and thin molasses nuanced sweet dark fruity esters. Another sip reveals more of a charred maltiness that reaches into a bit of earthiness. Solid take on the style.

16 oz can from a little wine shop named Sauvage Zsa next to Whistle Punk in Spokane. Aroma is dark bread, toasted marshmallow, roasty. Taste is bittersweet with roasty, bready flavors.
