Traditional English Best Bitter, brewed the old fashioned way with finest ingredients, Maris Otter barley, amber and brown malts for a dry biscuit finish. A London ale yeast draws the English hop flavours with a crisp moreish after taste.

Bottle – gift from my brother (suspect bought at brewery), drank at home. Pours golden amber with a medium sized frothy off-white head with fairly high carbonation. Aroma is mainly malts with hints of chocolate. In the mouth it is reassuringly traditional with bitter hops overlaid on biscuit malts and a tangy texture. Flavour also has bitter oranges and marmalade. Finish is quite dry and bitter. This is decent – plenty of flavour for its strength.

500ml bottle from Brew Station, Richmond. Golden colour, white foam head and aroma of malt, toffee, caramel, hop. Taste is sweetish, malty, toffee, with roasty & chocolate notes, and earthy nutty bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying tangy bitter finish. Quite drinkable.
