Dark brown colour with some ruby-copper highlights, a mocha-coloured head, average stay and lacing. Everything is here in the nose, but nothing too strong, not sticking out. A nice blend of the roasted barley, cherry purée, cacao, vanilla and lactose. Silky, a little oily in the mouthfeel. Still, not too thick, and the dryness in the finish helps. A touch sweeter in the taste, than the nose, but still nothing too punchy. This could have been quite sweeter, more rich, so liking it this way in this Pastry Stout.
