Trappist ale, copper color and aroma of bread crust, caramel, prunes, and red apples. Fairly dry and easy drinking. Slightly spicy. Perceived bitterness: medium.

Enjoyed in a glass at the brewpub, then at home in a can. Clean amber colour with nice, slow tiny-bubble carbonation. The head is warm light-beige with good retention and full lacing. Belgian yeast aromas with spices like cloves, wheat-bananas, a herbal touch and some mineral notes. Continuing in the taste with a mild caramel malt base and a tad of rustiness. More of a good, refreshing, easy-drinking Dubbel that is not too heavy, but has the characteristics of the style.
