The base beer is a sweet stout that has been fermented in open wine vats with a mix of lactobacillus souring bacteria, house yeast, and Brettanomyces. Birds Fly South False Face was then aged in Four Roses Bourbon barrels with more wild and sour cultures.

Dark brown pour. Strong sour/tart smell of vinegar and fruit. Tart taste of fruit and apple cider vinegar.

Prune and currant nose. Dark brown, thin tan head. Tart currant, plum, prune. Light body, easy carbonation. Lovely sipper.

Draft at Salud. Dark brown color beige head. Sour dark fruit plums berries. Not my cup of tea

Shared by jt lockwork-750 bottle-dissipating to a ring tan-brown with red tint. A-dk sour cherry, acidic, med malt-slight roast. T-follows with some puckering.
