Burgundy barrel aged sour stout aged for 18 months with a lactobacillus blend. We added a boat load of Tootsie Rolls in the barrel for the last 3 months to give the sour stout an additional chocolate candy dimension. Big flavours of dark chocolate, tart plum and dark pitted fruit.

500ml bottle from the brewery. Dark brown colour with a thicker-frothy, mocha-coloured head, fizzing away slowly with a thick foamy lacing and top on the brew. Sour nose over roasted and chocolate malts. This continues in the taste. Hints of liquorice and dark fruits in the aromas appear. Not bad, but the sour wild ale is stronger than the Stout, chocolate side, so might be your thing.
