This is brew number 3000 at our current site. We had 240 at our previous site, so really this is brew #3240, but we reset our counter when we moved here so our brewing records call this #3000, so this is what we shall mark.
The second brew at this site was an IPA SCCANS, so this beer harks back to that one, which is a beer we still make regularly enough, but we have never done it in the form of a Pale Ale, so here we go.
The Pale Ale SCCANS comes through light and fresh, the Nelson Sauvin to the fore with bright citrus, loquats and grapes. It's delicate and floral with spritzy / sherbet textures and a clean mineral finish.
Hops: Simcoe, Centennial, Citra, Amarillo, Nelson Sauvin
ABV increased from 4.8% to 5.4% in 2026.

Bottle from Against The Grain. Hazy golden body with an off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of straw, underripe melon and orange pith. Flavour of lemon, melon rind and orange pith. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. This is good, quite pithy. It’s nice but the SCCANS IPA is much superior.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; hazy yellow pour with a massive bubbly white head, aroma has orange and pine, taste has fresh green hops, bitter grapefruit, malt cereal, sparkling mouthfeel.

Delightful brew. Some pithy citrus, zippy lemon, mellow dankness, pine needles. Soft bitterness, lean pale malts. Clean finish, a little white pepper, lemon peel. Solid.

Tap at the brewery taproom bermondsey. A translucent golden coloured pour with a fine off white head. Aroma is freshly cut grass, floury wheat, cucumber, green hop, flavour is composed of semi crisp, mineral, flaked wheat, cut grass, green hop, spicy grass. Palate is spicy, crisp, flaked wheat, highish carbonation.
