One of our single-hop beers, Coriolis is a Double IPA brewed with heaps of Nelson Sauvin fresh from New Zealand! That's where we got the idea to include a wholesome little hobbit on the label. The dinosaur that's eating the hobbit? Um... we're not so sure where that part came from.

Can shared in London - many thanks to Dr. Sandman. Pours mostly clear gold with a creamy, white head. The nose holds light piney hops, rindy tangerine, orange, dry pale bread. Light to medium sweet flavour with more piney hops, pale bread, nips of crackers, rindy orange, melon. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Nice finish, more juicy citrus fruits, pale bread, pine, citrus rind. Great stuff.

Draught at EBF, 3/22/14
Pale-golden body with some light amber tints, high clarity and a medium amount of white head with strong retention.
Great citrus and tropical fruit blend in the nose, hightly aromatic, and with a sweetness that seems partially malt-driven, but also from the hop fruitiness, almost reminiscent of cherries. Anyhow, not as malty as the Gandhi Bot, thankfully, and less leafy/earthy/woody of a hop presence. This one is all bright, crisp perfumey floral hop aromatics mixed with juicy tropical fruits. Alcohol and a touch of resin have a brief flash on the finish, but are otherwise very well-controlled. High strength of aroma.
Bitter up front, quite a bit so, with an almost wintergreen like floral flavor that slowly succumbs to a bit of malt sweetness and juicy fruit hoppiness. High carbonation helps break up the thicker than expected body but some dry pine flavors do emerge on the finish. Nicely dry and attenuated, though, despite the big body on it and drinkable, if perhaps a bit too aggressive for me, overall. Top notch aroma, though, that’s for sure.
