Nearly black with a thin dark head. Roasted malts, molasses, dark ripe fruits, alcohol, oak, a bit of earth. Medium to thin body. Very warm booze in the finish with some molasses. Dry. Too hot for its own good.

The nuances of this fresh stout are so different from those of an aged bottle. I don't think it's a good idea to compare them, because a new one will only be disappointing. Try it by itself and judge it in its own right.
