Deze amber ale werd drie maanden op eikenvaten gerijpt, samen met een mix van kersen en bosvruchten. Een heerlijk fris-fruitig bier met een fijn zuur karakter.
Onze Berrynado heeft zijn thuis - een schots whiskybarrel - drie maanden met een invasie van bosvruchten, aardbeien en kersen moeten delen. Maar vraag niet wat het resultaat ervan is geworden - proef het zelf. Een volle, fris-zure bessenbom! Boom!

330ml bottle. Cloudy, dark brown colour with ruby shimmer and small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Fruity and slightly tangy, minimally leafy and yeasty aroma, notes of red berries, blue berries, black currant. Taste is mildly tart, fruity, slightly tangy and yeasty, notes of dark berries, red berries, black currant.
Slightly creamy, watery texture, slightly astringent palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation.
Fairly fruity, slightly earthy, adequate tartness - decent.

0.33 l bottle from 'Hetbiermoment.nl', best before March 2026. Hazy, deep ruby with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish, sourish, rather fruity and a bit vinous aroma of marzipan, cherry, chocolate, caramel, whisky, elderberry and some blackberry. Gently sweet, quite sour, rather fruity, a little vinous taste of caramel, marzipan, chocolate, balsamic vinegar, whisky, cherry, elderberry and blackberry, followed by a medium long, quite tart, a bit woody-dry finish. Medium body, slightly astringent and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Decent brew, nicely fruity, matches very well with the sweet malts, could be a bit more outspoken.

Fles thuis geprobeerd met NickvdH. Het is een troebel roodbruin bier met een dun beige schuim. Het heeft een fris zure bosvruchten geur. De smaak is wrang, zure bessen en aardbeien achtig.
