Bourbon Barrel Aged Happy Jack is a medium-bodied, malty Scottish ale with a touch of ginger and smoked malt. Sweet aromas of caramel and toffee serve as the perfect precursor to the similar malt flavors within. Accents of floral ginger and smoked malt impact the palate and linger slightly, providing balance through contrast. Aged in Bourbon barrels for 9 months, wonderful flavor additions of vanilla and charred oak complement the sweet malt backbone and play perfectly to the underlying smokiness of this ale.

Draft at the brewpub, Bellaire. Dark orange-brown body, tin off-white/beige head. Lots of barrel notes in the nose and the body- oak and vanilla, with light caramel and toast in the flavor profile and warming alcohol notes.
