Draft at Crunchy’s, East Lansing. Hazy medium orange-brown body, medium to thin dissipating tight beige head. Medicinal nose with clove, ginger, and floral notes, sweet and spicy, but reminiscent of a cleaning agent. Dense, near-cloying floral and ginger notes in the body, like tasting a department store at Christmas, yet not altogether unpleasant. It’s pretty hard to claim this is a Belgian beer of any kind, as the base beer is buried in spices (and something tells me that’s a good thing).
