Beer of the month - July 2025.
Raise a glass to Defender, a bright and golden summer ale that's refreshingly easy-going yet full of flavour. Brewed with a clean base of Pale and T50 malts, this beer delivers a soft, biscuity backbone that lets the hops shine.
The star of the show is Callista, a modern German hop known for its unique fruit-forward character. Expect vibrant aromas of red berries, subtle stone fruit, and a hint of fresh citrus, all beautifully balanced without overwhelming bitterness.
Light-bodied, crisp, and utterly sessionable, Defender is a perfect choice for sunny afternoons, BBQs, and those moments that call for something bright, fruity, and well-crafted.

[On tap at the York Club, Windsor Great Park.] A bright golden pour with a thick cream coloured head; aroma of red berries; biscuity malt body with a fruity taste and a reasonable level of bitterness. Crisp and refreshing and a change from the usual citrus summer beers - just the thing on a warm summer evening.
