Review based on the BJCP2021 guidelines (style 30A: ginger, cinnamon - base 26C). Bottle 33 cl - Batch 260 (BB: 010626) AROMA: medium-high lemony-like aroma with medium cinnamon on the background. very faint peppery phenols. APPEARANCE: deep gold to light amber and clear. low white head with low retention. slight lace formation. TASTE: initial medium-high cinnamon and low lemony (ginger) that overpowers belgian strain fermentation by-products. medium bitterness with a dry and yeasty finish. MOUTHFEEL: medium body with low carbonation. alcoholic warmth. OVERALL: a spiced tripel where the spices overpower everything else. needs more carbonation.
