Egremont Russet perlante.
I’m only sleeping is the latest cider from one of our favourite apple varieties, Egremont Russet, grown in the near perfect 2022 season.
Wild fermented over a period of nearly six months, the cider developed in a very special way, gaining weight and flesh and fruit with every passing day.
It’s extraordinary textured and layered with flavours of grilled pineapple, tingly fresh ginger, yellow melon, white peach, ripe kiwi and hint of star anise.
Bottled just before the end of fermentation, the prickle of sparkle we get from this, lightens the tone and adds to the freshness.
The depth and intensity of this cider makes it perfect match with shellfish dishes or exotic vegetarian fare.
Serve cold. Gluten free. Vegan friendly. No added sulphites. 750ml. 8.4%.

750ml bottle from Little Pomona. Hazy yellow gold colour, no head and aroma of apple, melon, citric. Taste is fleshy apple, pineapple, melon, citrus, honey hints, with zingy acidity. Medium bodied, light carbonation, drying acidic finish. Nicely drinkable.
