The second release from our Pasty Stout series, we introduce a liquid take on a favorite breakfast food. We brewed a big, dark, rich imperial stout - clocking in at 10% ABV. To satisfy our sweet tooth, we refermented the beer on 2 gallons/barrel of Grade A maple syrup before adding vanilla beans, cinnamon and nutmeg. Pouring a thick, opaque black with a dark tan head, our French Toast stout is a pleasure to the senses.

16 oz. Aroma is maple, dark bread, wet stone, vanilla. Pours inky black with a large dark brown head with excellent retention. Taste is lightly sweet, savory and tastes a lot more like Jaggermeister than French toast. Has very strong licorice notes for a beer not including anything resembling that. Highly carbonated. Not bad, but not what I was expecting or hoping for.
