Draught at source: pours black with creamy head. Aroma is smoke, roast, chocolate. Nice smoke flavor. Well roasted. Great aftertaste. Very nice.

32oz crowler pours a dark black with a ring of beige head. Nose is fairly meaty, smokey, malt, molasses, toast. Flavor has all that, toast and smoke, plenty of umami. Dry finish, fullish bodied but very very drinkable.

Crowler at DC early November beer tasting. Poured a dark cola color with a small off-white head. I got a touch of smoke, not a lot, but a subtle character, mild, thin roast. Easy drinking!

From a crowler. Pours a dark cola with a tan head. Aromas are chocolate and leather. Flavors are light bitter roast.

Chocolate malt and hay aroma. Black with moderate brown head. Mildly sweet chocolate malt and mildly bitter hay flavor. Okay body - light soapy aftertaste.

Draft at the source. Pretty close to black color, lacey brown head. Aroma of burnt coffee and licorice. Taste is big licorice earthy coffee grounds. Tasty.
