Growler fill from the brewery, thanks brenn79. Aroma starts out promising with a nice citrusiness, but it goes downhill fairly quick, with some stinky malt. It’s earthy, which is kind of nice. Other than possibly the earthiness, there’s no Brett in the nose; there’s something off here--cooked vegetables, creamed corn. Pours dirty orange with a medium beige head with decent retention. Now, the flavor--holy shit is this off. Dirty old caramel malt mix with some pretty extreme bitterness along with some severe funk. The funk here isn’t typical of most Brett beers. It doesn’t taste clean and crisp. It tastes old and nasty. There is an interesting element here, however. There’s a nice savoriness. It’s a pretty minor silver lining to this shitty cloud, though. Terrible!
