Review based on the BJCP2021 guidelines (style 29A: fig - base: 6C?) Bottle 33 cl - Batch 252 (BB: 0626). AROMA: medium-low to low wet grain husk and low sulphur that dissipates. medium caramel-like overall aroma. APPEARANCE: deep amber color and clear. medium beige head, creamy, with ok retention. lace formation. TASTE: medium malt flavor with overall caramel character and slight toasted notes. medium-high bitterness with a dry and somewhat yeasty finish. MOUTHFEEL: medium body with medium carbonation. alcoholic warmth. OVERALL: a dunkel beer with added figs but where the base beer requires work.
