Bottle from Myrddin's Taproom, Barmouth. Pours clear dark reddish brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of light chocolate and liquorice. Taste is light nutty, light snickers. Thin finish.

Appearance - dark brown to black with a thin beige crema head.
Nose - earthy and umami notes like soy.
Taste - blackberries and liquorice, general roast and treacle.
Palate - medium bodied, roasted and dry finish.
Overall - good.

Deep dark brown, near black, with a bubbly / frothy tan head and a nice coffee and roasted malt aroma. Very thin with dark fruits, roasted malt and coffee bitterness, finishes dry and bittersweet.

Third of a pint at the Shrewsbury CAMRA Beer Festival on 25th September 2025. Dark brown, but thin bodied, beige crust on top. Chocolate nose and taste with a coffee/malty undertone, wanted to like it, but the body depth let it down a little.
