750mL bottle undated, drunk 9/10/25.
Very little head despite a heavy pour. Bright, deep, intense bronze-brass-maize. White head instantly to edges.
Can smell the heavily fruity, lightly funky/musty yeast from a mile away. A bit cidery, as well with light woody/cedary notes and a touch of vanilla, even. Interesting and complex with excellent malts to balance.
Oooooh! That's NICE. Corky, musty, woody. Reminds me of a really old Gale's Prize Old Ale, or a very soft, ultra-aged oude lambik. Even a bit of cheesiness here. Really has it all, including no aggressive acidity, and ample malt/wheat depth/texture. And all this at 4.5% abv?! Incredible.
