Inspired by the beers brewed by Trappist monks, this golden ale balances refined hop bitterness and delicate ripe fruit. The aroma reminds of bananas, lemons and black pepper. The smooth flavor of apricot and honey has a lingering dry finish that pairs well with grilled sausages, creamy sauces and robust cheeses.

Pour is a cloudy orange with a large white head. Aroma is candi sugar, yeast esters and some random spice. Flavor is a chewy thick malt with some esters and spice with vanilla and a spicy hop. A little alcohol on the end but nothing over the top. This was an above par triple. A little thicker than the Belgian versions but this had everything you are looking for.

Cloudy tan with a large foamy head that lingered. Boozy, yeasty, beady and a touch herbal with candied golden fruit. Long finish. Moderately full bodied

Bottle @ Bierwax, Brooklyn NYC. Cloudy dark yellow-orange with a small creamy beige head, vanilla-malt aroma, medium carbonation, initially sweet vanilla-malt taste, alcohol undertones, smooth body, long finish. Not bad flavorwise but the alcohol escapes a bit.

Wheat, pepper, a bit of yeast, and slightly boozy. Not bad at all.
