(Bottle) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with wood, black bread, chocolate, treacle-toffee, dried fruit, dates and spices. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, coffee, black bread, oak wood, dates, treacle, some aquavit spices (dill, fennel seed, carraway) coming through, and a sweetish finish with a mild roasty bitterness. Almost full body, sweet. Tasty and quite well balanced (despite the sweetness), some aquavit flavours coming through. Nice one.

330ml Bottle - Black with a tan head. Salty liquorice, plain chocolate and aquavit in the aroma. Liquorice, cocoa, raisins, aquavit and some slightly smoky notes in the taste. Rich and fairly decent but I was expecting a bit more.

On tap at Haand Festival. It pours a black body under a tan head. Nice head, close to no lacing. Heavy, dark aroma with licorice, roasted malts, coffee, some chocolate and a wee burnt touch. Some aquavit as well, but the spirit is more evident in the flavor. It's full-bodied, sweetish and with a nice carbonation level. Close to sticky sweet, with lots of roasted malts, licorice and coffee, some chocolate chiming in as well. Pleasant aquavit touch in the flavor too. Everlasting sweet, dark finish with aquavit. A delicious beer indeed. One for your favorite chair. 170527

33 cl bottle, bought a little while back from Systembolaget. Sampled on July 13, 2017.Black color, medium sized brown head with lacing. Malty, sweet, alcohol, spicy, chocolate, wood, boozy, white spirit scent. Malty, roasted, chocolate, alcohol taste. Raw, white spirit, bitter aftertaste. Warming alcohol. Medium full body, a bit too fizzy CO2, medium high dry bitterness. Boozy feeling left on the tongue.Not my frist choice of barrel ageing if this is the result. Base beer feel solid, but the wood and spirit messed it up. Feels like way more than 7% in it, and left quite unbalanced.6/4/6/3/11=3.0
