0.50l bottle, shared with David, Sima & nonna Rosa. Aroma of after eight. Pours almost black color with thin creamy light brown head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with sweet and rich roasted malt and chocolate,
follows by peppermint, peppers, wood and vanilla, mouthfeel is warm alcoholic, while finish is pretty bitter. Full body, thick texture and average carbonation in palate. After eight rhino…

Dark brown. The aroma is chocolate and peppermint. On the palate, it's actually nutty, chocolatey, the mint is not quite as aggressive on the palate but it's still pretty prominent. Good body. Solid stout, the peppermint doesn't not work.

Poured from 500mL bottle. Very dark brown with minimal light beige head. Nice balanced peppermint and cocoa - quite intense peppermint, but compliments the cocoa notes nicely - like a peppermint chocolate girl guide cookie. Body is a touch thin, and not getting much barrel character due to the intensity of the peppermint.

16.9 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is full of bright, mouth-refreshing peppermint, light bourbon, and moderate roasted malt. Flavour is surprisingly refreshing as well, with bright peppermint, medium roast, a touch of cocoa, and gentle bourbon. Great base malts and the peppermint comes across very tastefully despite how in-your-face it is. This sounded like a bad idea—and would be by most other breweries—but trust Alesong to do it right.

500mL bottle. Pours deep dark brown with a beige head. Tons of spearmint and dark chocolate on the nose. Flavour has a ton of refreshing spearmint, wrapped in dark chocolate and finished off with a nice bourbon character. This was a dubious concept that was executed phenomenally well.
