Next up in our “Favorite Things” series is a blend of tart blonde ales, co-fermented with Malbec grapes from Quail Run’s Sophie Vineyard in Southern Oregon. Bright Copper Kettles pours a stunning crimson that previews the bold flavors to come: Classic notes of blackberry and cherry are balanced by a complex tannin structure from the oak aging and fermentation on the wine grapes.

16.9 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany, like a dark red wine, with a small off-pink head. Nose is full of musty red wine grape skins, plenty of wild yeast, and oak – wonderfully cohesive and complex. Flavour is super complex, with intense red wine grapes, deep oak, plenty of bugs, and more oaky and vinous notes to finish. Beautiful expression of the grapes, oak and bugs. Divine stuff.

500mL bottle. Pours murky dark mahagony with a pinkish head. Lots of earthy, musty character and deep red wine on the nose, some wood. Flavour has tons of musty red wine character, lots of wood, very earthy yeast, super buggy. The complexity and integration is fantastic; this is an excellent beer.
