Bottle. Deep Amber gold with a slight off white head. Taste is pumpkin pie and yes you can feel the heat in the belly.

Pours clear copper with a one finger head. Smells like pumpkin, fall spices, and caramel malt. The flavor is similar to many pumpkin ales with the malt, fall spices, and pumpkin, but also has some peppery heat. The various flavors anre balanced pretty well. Interesting combo and it works here.
Yeeeessss! Bring on this season. All of the spiced, pumpkin, yam!!!

AROMA: Mildly sweet with moderate scents of pumpkin, followed by hints of cinnamon and chili pepper. Note: As the beer warms the chili pepper really starts to take over and the pumpkin gets lost.
APPEARANCE: Pours a clear medium-amber with a frothy, 2-finger, white head that dissipates quickly with minimal lacing.
TASTE: Lightly sweet with moderate flavors of chili pepper, followed by light flavors of pumpkin. At the very end of the finish, i get just a whisper of cinnamon. There is little, to no, heat from the chili peppers, but you do get a fair amount of their great earthy, fruity, flavors. However, I do wish the pumpkin was a bit more prevalent.
MOUTHFEEL: Medium-bodied with a slightly rough texture. The finish is slightly dry and the carbonation is fairly lively (i.e. above average). I've had plenty of other "lively" beers in the past, but this is the first one that I can ever remember thinking that the beer would be better off with less carbonation. For whatever reason, I find that the liveliness, body, and flavor just don't quite mesh together.
OVERALL: While I do get an ever-so-slight tingling of the tongue at the very, very, end of the finish, I would not consider it to be "spicy" (as the label claims). Heat issue aside, I find the rest of the beer's qualities to be about average for a good craft brew. However, I was happy that this was an atypical pumpkin beer, that refused to conform to the norm. I just wish there was more heat, more pumpkin flavor, and less carbonation.

Can. Pours clear copper with a large foamy dark beige head, faint pumpkin aroma, high carbonation, mildly bitter malty taste with pumpkin flavor, faint cinnamon and a chili kick at the end, long finish with some chili burn. Quite a nice brew.
