5oz plastic cup at brewery at the Cyclones stadium. I guess the color is deep golden, close to amber. Very malty, a dusty malt, British malts. Overshadowed hops that don’t shine. Not my type of IPA.

Clear light copper coloured body with an orange glow and a thick, three centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of fresh grassy and herbal hops with some resinous notes as well, but not much else - hardly any malt at all. Light-bodied; Sharp herbal and grassy flavour at first with literally no malt and only a touch of sweetness at the end - very simple. Aftertaste shows the grass, herbs and a faint glimmer of hops with no malt, no depth and no structure. Overall, a pretty poor beer with no malt nor complexity, no balance and not much else aside from light grassy and herbal hops. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Harris Teeter in Arlington (Pentagon Row), Virginia on 08-January-2016 for US$1,67 sampled at home in Washington on 16-January-2016.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 11/13/15
Aroma: The aroma is pine and grapefruit, some over-ripened fruit, and a bit of malt
Appearance: Pours a clear orange color with a lasting, frothy, off-white head and strong lacing
Flavor: The flavor is much the same, both sweet and bitter, over-ripe fruit takes the flavor down
Palate: The body is medium, smooth and a bit sticky, with a soft carbonation, and a mid-dry close
Overall Impression: There's a lot that works in this one but there's a slightly flawed note that coming off kind of like over-ripened fruit. Otherwise, I feel like I would like it quite a bit more, but this one off-note is really difficult for me to get past.

12 ounce bottle from a Teeter. Clear golden, large foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of earthy, resiny almost vegetal hops, pale malt. A bit of toastiness. The taste is earthy, piney, resiny hops, pale malt. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness.

Draught @ Albion. Rich yellow- orange with small beige creamy head. Floral hops aroma, low carbonation, mellow hops taste with lavender like flavor, rather abrupt finish with lingering slight bitterness. A very smooth IPA, very enjoyable!
