The original “session” ale (it’s history dates back 200 years!), a perfect mating of soft English malt proving a biscuit/cracker/mild toffee base combines with English hops that provide a tea-like blend of herbal Earl Grey, florals and delightfully earthy tones. Draught @ the Astoria taproom. Clear dark copper/amber with a large spongy beige head, caramel aroma, high carbonation, medium bitter caramel taste, toffee, thin body, long finish. A bit watery as expected.
